Last year, for one of our modules, the engineering students all had to take part in the EWB project. The project was based on helping those in places such as Lobitos and Piedritas. In our group we chose to do electricity supply as we saw in our research how often these towns have electrical blackouts.
For our solution we decided to go with Biomass as our form of energy as the locals could use their household waste etc, to help fuel the towns electricity. Below i have included an attactment of our EWB report.
I took resonsibilty of the ideas considered section as well as sharing the leadership role with the other members. We didn’t have one person in charge, but took turns for each person to take control of each session.
